  • Request for proposals are invited for Multimedia Communication Campaign to Reduce Bushmeat Consumption in Kinshasa - Phase 2. Closing date: 18-11-2022 WCS is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to saving wildlife and wildlands through science, international conservation, education, and the management of the world's largest system of urban wildlife parks. In the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRD) WCS supports the efforts and actions of the Congolese Institute for the Conservation of Nature (ICCN) and other partners to prevent biodiversity loss across National Parks and Reserves across the country. As part of its activities related to wildlife protection, WCS would like to recruit a communication agency or a consultant that will design, produce, and disseminate the Phase 2 of the multimedia campaign “Yoka Pimbo” aiming to reduce bushmeat consumption in urban cities like Kinshasa . The campaign already has its own branding, including colors, logo and slogan, and this branding should be used for the Phase 2 new campaign materials, which are the object of this RFP. This campaign will continue to target three target audiences identified in the Phase 1, that are: i) men between 35 and 55 years old, ii) men between 18 and 34 years old and iii) women between 18 and 34 years old, all with secondary school level or above. The campaign is being funded by the US Fish and Wildlife Service and ARCUS Foundation, and is subject to technical and programmatic requirements as indicated in “Scope of Services and Desired Qualifications” below. Further all work must be done in compliance with regulations, set forth in Appendix B, attached and made a part hereof. WCS is exempt from sales tax in certain states, including New York, and may be exempt in certain foreign jurisdictions. Project scope of work details are included in Appendix A, attached and made a part hereof. The project cost range is estimated between $200,000-250,000 and the campaign Phase II materials are expected to be launched in January 2023 for an initial diffusion of 6 months contingent on available funding.
