- The UN is considering the option to conduct a procurement exercise for the provision of a combination of both airborne manned and unmanned Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) services; with a minimum of one (1) CLASS I or II small or tactical Unmanned Aircraft systems (UAS) Tasking Line (TL) and a minimum of one (1) manned Fixed Wing ISR Tasking Line in support of peace-keeping operations in Democratic Republic of Congo, DRC. Additionally, two (2) optional TLs, one (1) unmanned UAS and one (1)manned ISR, to be activated at MONUSCO request throughout the term of the contract. Therefore, therequired services will be a total of four (4) TLs (2 core TLs + 2 optional TLs).Reconnaissance: refers to an effort or a mission to acquire information about a target that can be a onetime endeavor for routine analysis of defined points of interest, with emphasis on locating and identifying illegal activity such as check points, endangerment of the civilian population and suspected armed group activity.
