- Expression of Interest are invited for Earth Observation and Community Mapping for Urban Resilience in Kinshasa. The primary objective of this technical assistance is to support the generation or enhancement of existing geospatial data layers of solid waste, drainage networks, and urban green space using Earth Observation (EO) data and resources, supplemented with field data collection and validation. The secondary objective is to train a cohort of government officials, students, and youth to participate and collaborate in the generation and management of high-resolution baseline data required to better understand and plan for disaster risk management and urban resilience in Kinshasa. The use of open-source software and tools that are suitable for the local context are therefore prioritized. Publication Date: 13-Sep-2022.
