- Expression of Interest are invited for Consultant Responsible for Raising Awareness of Environmental Protection, Public Health, Respect for Fundamental Human Rights and Road Safety for The RN1 Rehabilitation project. The services provided under this contract include: (i) informing the target population about the project and its implementation as well as about the positive or negative impacts of each of the socio-environmental issues raised; (ii) popularize among company workers and all project stakeholders, local populations, as well as road users to raise awareness of responsible behavior to limit the spread of STIs, HIV/AIDS, of COVID-19 and improve maternal health, in particular by promoting family planning, the main rules of conduct to be observed which contribute to the preservation of the work and the protection of the environment, human rights, in particular by citizenship education and the fight against SGBV, precautions and safer behaviors to be taken by communities involved in the execution of road works in general. Responsible behavior to ensure road safety during works and during the operation of paved roads; (iii) build the capacity of customary and local administrative authorities in terms of mobilizing and instructing local populations on the appropriation of these concepts; and (iv) build the capacity of local non-profit associations, including NGOs defending the rights of local communities, in actions to sensitize the population on aspects of socio-environmental protection.
