Services of a Consultant (Firm) in Charge of Carrying out Technical Studies for the Kalundu Port Rehabilitation Project in South Kivu Province. This Notice for Expression of Interest follows the signature on October 29, 2021 of the Financing Agreement for the preparation of the Trade Facilitation and Integration Project in the Great Lakes Region, PFCIGL. The Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo has received funding from the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank Group, for the preparation of the Trade Facilitation and Integration Project in the Great Lakes Region, PFCIGL, and has retention to use part of these funds to make payments under the service contract of a consultant (firm) responsible for the preparation of detailed technical studies for the rehabilitation of the port of Kalundu in the Province of South Kivu. The services of the consultant to be recruited concern the carrying out of technical studies (APS, APD, Implementation Project) and the preparation of the Tender Documents for the rehabilitation of the port of Kalundu. This rehabilitation will consist of restoring the capacity of the port to play its role for both international trade and small cross-border trade. The overall objective of the mission is to: a) Carry out a detailed inventory and analysis of the existing situation at the port of Kalundu; b) prepare a summary technical study for the rehabilitation of the port of Kalundu in accordance with the rules of the art; c) Prepare and provide detailed technical elements for the rehabilitation of the port of Kalundu (general and particular technical specifications of the works, schedules of unit prices, quantitative and estimated estimates, confidential reference estimates); d) prepare tender documents for the works to be published for construction companies for the execution of the rehabilitation works of the port of Kalundu in accordance with the rules of the Part; e) Prepare supply tender documents to be published for suppliers for the supply and installation of materials, furniture and equipment for the port of Kalundu.
